Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has said he would consider an offer to return to Barcelona should he receive a call from the Catalan club's coach Pep Guardiola.
Fabregas also said however that he is keen to win titles with the North London club.
"It's very obvious that it (an offer from Barca) would be special, but I am also clear about the fact that Arsenal made me captain in the middle of last season," he told Catalan daily Sport.
"That gives me extra responsibility and ties me closer to the club and I would be excited to win a trophy as captain of the Gunners."
He added that if Guardiola - who won the Champions League, Spanish title and Copa del Rey in his first season as coach, having coached the club's 'B' team with success prior to that - called him, "it would be different".
Fabregas left the Blaugrana as a 16-year-old in 2003 to sign professional terms with the Gunners.
Arsenal have failed to win a trophy since 2005, when they triumphed in the FA Cup, leading to some frustration among the club's supporters.
There is, however, still massive support for manager Arsene Wenger.

Why is it that of all the football clubs in the North of England, Manchester United have the most fans? nothing to do with them 'winning everything' is it?
pmsl
Cesc is not to be blamed. Every player is hungry for success especially on like fabregas.
i would have cesc at ot he is a mint player and i dont mind admitting it swap deal for anderson and nani would be a good deal
yes i agree, there is no helping some people....
@ badger, i agree with you, this is the worst part of the year with no football. i bet we all can't wait for next season, and pray our teams do better than the last. however i think people should learn to give managers like Wenger, O'neil credit for what they have done so far.
comment 112 @ Del Boy, you call him 'french pimp with prannies'. this same prannies were in the semi-finals of both the fa and cl. and will stil play cl next season. do you think the fans of Newcastle and 'Boro would not have been celebrating if it was them?. Yes they had so many blips, but they were able to resurge despite big injuries.
Dont waste your time Badger, some people just dont have the brain power.
Frank400a, That is such an immature response. You cant drive a mercedes if you can only afford the ford. There is no such things as buying success, you have to achieve success with ambitious quality in an established squad and that costs alot of money mate!. The best players offer the club the opportunity to become a world class team. New owners and billions? Where?
Your comment: Wenger said "you can win anything with money" is rubbish. My Answer: Thats because he hates to spend and it does not matter how much money Arsenal have Wenger hates to spend! Get it!
People who suggest that money breeds success are right, those who appose are just jealous!
FABREGAS IS GOING ON A T.V SHOW ITS CALLED SPITTING IMAGE
I'm not saying ronaldo is thick but, after his recent escapade with transvestite prostitutes, when his team-mates asked him: "Did you actually enjoy that @#$%? Didn't you have any idea that it was a man?" He replied: "Well, come to think of it, it did taste a bit funny."
Frank400a look im quite a nice fella, love the banter, but you are starting to cross the line, glory hunter, wow never heard that one b4, considering i live about 6 miles from OT and am a season ticket holder ans have probably since b4 you were born i think you have nothing but cheep shots.... your no gooner, your a YID....
BREAKING NEWS
Steven Gerrard has broken out of jail. Fortunately for the police, ronaldo was his getaway driver.

Agree good post.......but then some 'football fans' are only glory hunters!

What a load of rubbish!
The new owners of Arsenal wealth is put at £14Billion! what the issue is, is who owns the club? When this is sorted out.......will the club not be skink? NO!
Wenger said "you can win anything with money" just look at Man Utd and Chelsea, Teams win things by spending big........thats buying titles not winning them in most peoples books! D'oh
Frank400a, uhhh thats a bit harsh....never mind nani, the rest of the team did not bother to turn up, 10 15 mins and we were out the game, they gave us a masterclass good and proper, and fair play to them, you can fault the way they played....
ralph_obasi then its sad jurno's from eurosport....to much time on the hands i think....this is the worst part of the year when there is no football, no good stories, so very little to comment on....
Frank400a, not me fella, i deplore those kind of songs and behaviour, can not answer for the rest of the 75.000 that attend OT on matchdays or away days. it is wrong whoever it comes from....

Catalan v Matalan
PMSL
ralph_obasi, not literally i hope lol....
nothing on the club website suggest any of this nonsense.
Badger your have a very good sense of humour I enjoyed reading your last article!!!
Please visit [ gymkracks.blogspot put a dot then the com ]it is based on taking the mick not footie related and it is having rave reviews...great!
So, the spitster is on his way then...IF Barca think he's good enough for them. Catalan, great passer, very intelligent movement; yeah, he'd fit in well. Good for him, he might actually win something once he leaves that French pimp's team of prannies.
