Premier League - Vidic pledges future to United

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic insists he is staying at Old Trafford.

The no-nonsense centre-back has been linked with a move away from the Premier League champions.

Top of the list of clubs tracking the Serb are Barcelona, and there have been reports of the defender's wife wanting to move to a warmer country as well as his own comments bemoaning the Manchester weather, which he later denied making.

Vidic told the News of the World: "I am very happy here and next season we will start again. I have got no desire to go anywhere."

He added: "People forget that when you join a new league you don't just have to adjust to the country, you also have to adjust to the style of football.

"I feel my game is well adjusted to England now and I want to play a part in a successful team next season. United can make it a record four titles in a row next year."

  8. As a liverpool fan i am required by law to hate­ Manchester Utd, However Vidic is a great defender, one­ of the bestin the Premier league. The only team to make­ him look ordinary all season was liverpool when we­ thumped them at old trafford. He would be a great­ addition to any team and if Sir Alex has any sense he­ will not let go of vidic.
