Serie A - Agent: Pato will not demand move

Eurosport - Sun, 14 Jun 09:04:00 2009

Milan striker Alexandre Pato will not ask for a transfer to facilitate a move to Chelsea, the player's agent said.

FOOTBALL Pato Milan - 0

The 19-year-old Brazilian has been linked with the Blues since it became apparent that former Rossoneri boss Carlo Ancelotti was moving to Stamford Bridge.

And, while Pato has publicly expressed an interest in working with Ancelotti again, his representative insisted that any decision will be Milan's.

"Pato is under contract with Milan, and the club is the one that decides his fate," Pato's agent Gilmar Veloz told Antenna3 Telelombardia.

"Publically speaking about his contract is not an issue, but it's our business."

I think Chelsea should form like this:
     Cech
    Bowsingwa Terry Alex A Cole

    Essien

     Lampard Snedier

    Joe Cole Aguero Pato

  4. With regard to Pato/Ancelloti, and the obvious prospect of the young man playing for Chelsea, this would be ... Interesting. Pato is undoubtedly on course to become an outstanding footballer. Some may request that I burn my CFC strips, but I would prefer to see our new manager form a relationship with our current personnel, getting the most out of a (as originally intended) Droghba/Anelka combination, supported and served by the World class Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole (whose form has improved, I suspect not a little to do with Hiddink and Cheryl!), and the ever improving Florent Malouda (one of the best I have seen at The Bridge since Makalele). Sometimes, as The Yanks say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

  9. Pato should go to Chelsea. He is physically fast and strong which means had a higher chance to suite the premier league and he is 20 which means so much room for improvement and can take his own sweet time to suite the premier league. Well, i always prefer him than Aguero because i think he is much better is terms of physicality.

Chelski don't need Pato or Aguero. They need a physical monster of a player like Drogba. Lightweight players can't take the physicality of the EPL which is why Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Kaka would be rubbish. Chelski should sign Torres or Gerrard.

His goal record is 23 goals in 51 appearances... in what is supposedly a "defensive" league. he's 19, and has a 1 in 2 goal record... He can also do more than finish, and as a typical Brazilian he's faaaaaaaar better technically and on the ball than Adebayor.
There is no better prospect on earth atm, the kid is effing 19. So IMO he's better and I'd rather have him on my team over Adebayor any day of the weak.

    as for iancampbell...
Your comments make no sense whatsoever... where's this sudden attitude that the EPL becomes a "benchmark" for how good a player is or will be? As an attacker, the best place to hone your skills is Serie A, as the anticipation and skill level of the defenders there is phenomenal.
The EPL would just waste his talent, sending him to play against shiite teams more often than not (the EPL has more shiite teams than good teams unlike Spain and Italy), where he'll be kicked around.

La Liga is debatable... but the level of defensive ability there is terrible, and he wouldn't learn much by just running in free space every time he gets the ball.
Serie A will always be the best place for young players... as it's the most tactical and technical of all leagues. Besides... just look at the young players they have on show there... makes the EPL look like preschool really.
