Serie A - Milan agree Cissokho deal

Milan have agreed a deal to buy Porto's French left-back Aly Cissokho, according to chief executive Adriano Galliani.

"The agreement has been reached thanks to the friendship of the president of Porto," Galliani said.

Galliani added that the 21-year-old would have a medical on Monday.

Cissokho, who media reports say has cost around £12 million, will be Milan's first signing since the departure of coach Carlo Ancelotti to Chelsea and playmaker Kaka to Real Madrid.

The Serie A side are also hopeful of signing Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko and have been linked in the media with Sao Paolo midfielder Hernanes.

  9. Milan need a good replacement for Paolo Maldini as a­ Left-Back and I'm sure Cissokho will no longer­ disappoint the San Siro owners. Taking into­ consideration the form of Frenchman in the recent­ season in Porto and his outstanding work in the­ Champions League, Milan while buying him will be much­ happy. After selling Kaka to Real, Milan fans will be­ disappointed but with this transfer I don't think­ the fans will be frustrated. Hope to see Cissokho in a­ good form and let the Italia suit him! :)
