Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown has paid tribute to Robins fans after season-ticket sales passed the 10,000-mark.
The club expect to increase that number before the start of the 2009/10 campaign and Lansdown has spoken of his desire to eventually build significantly on the current fanbase at Ashton Gate.
Lansdown told the club's official website: "I'd like to thank all those supporters who have taken up their allocation of season tickets so far.
"We're very conscious of ensuring our prices are kept at reasonable levels in these difficult economic times.
"And although prices have increased slightly on the last offer they are still lower than the equivalent rate last season and therefore still represent excellent value.
"Our supporters are so important to us - as the shirt says, they are like our 12th man. We have a great fanbase now, but we want to build on that. The more support we have the more successful this club will be, on and off the pitch, in the long term."
