Robinson eyes Hoops switch

Sun 14 Jun, 04:40 PM

West Brom captain Paul Robinson admits he would love to follow Tony Mowbray to Celtic Park.

Mowbray is set to be confirmed as Celtic manager in the coming days after the Glasgow club finally met West Brom's compensation demands on Saturday.

"I'm desperately disappointed about the gaffer leaving," Robinson, 30, told the Sunday Mail.

"I'm considering my future and if the chance came to go to Celtic with the gaffer I'd be delighted to do so. I came close to moving to Parkhead last year but it didn't happen. Maybe it will now," he added.

"I would love to move to a Premier League side but working with Tony at a huge club such as Celtic is appealing."
