Derby turn back on Bodde

Mon 14 Jul, 03:15 PM

Derby have turned their attentions to Europe after insisting they will not be increasing their bid for Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde. The Swans will not budge from their valuation of the 26-year-old Dutchman while the Rams are refusing to up their offer of £1.5million rising to £2million with add-ons.

Chairman of football Adam Pearson told the Derby Telegraph: "He [Ferrie Bodde] is our first choice but we are not prepared to pay over the odds.

"We've got a couple of other targets we are looking at. They are two extremely experienced European players and we will turn our attention to them."

  7. well said my friend it just shows how greedy these clubs are nowadays they will not give him the the wage of a 2 million rated player because he is not one thats why if he was he would not be playing for a small club like swansea would he

  8. What are Swansea playing at 2million for a player who has only played D1 football and cost them just 80K. He obviously wants to better himself,if Jenkins wants him to stay them pay him a proper wage. The Swansea chairman has been sitting on his fence for weeks now, any wonder Bodde wants out. Derby haven't even been givin the chance to speak with Bodde so can't blame them for looking elsewhere.
