Fletcher can stay put - Warnock

Mon 14 Jul, 06:00 PM

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is happy for Carl Fletcher to stay at Selhurst Park but admits he cannot guarantee him first-team football. The former Eagles skipper was expected to leave the club this summer in search of regular action.

And Warnock had given the green light for the Wales international to move on, if a suitable offer was made.

But Warnock told the South London Press: "I've not had any concrete offers for Carl. Plymouth asked about him but they haven't made a definite offer and I'm not bothered if they don't. I'd be happy to keep him at the club.

"Carl's probably not going to be in my first team but things change very quickly in football and he's a good lad to have around."
