Chelsea are without a number of players for their opening Barclays Premier League clash with Hull at Stamford Bridge.
New signing Yuri Zhirkov is out with a knee injury while Juliano Belletti (Achilles) and defender Alex (groin) are also set to miss out.
Joe Cole (knee) and Paulo Ferreira (knee) are back in training but the fixture comes too soon for the pair.

Everyone's making this noise about Zhirkov being the second coming in fantasy football, but he has never scored more than 6 goals in a season and that was his first beyond that I don't think he's scored more than 3. Not exactly numbers to make you choose him over Lampard, Gerrard or Arshavin.
Well, it means Carvalho will at least get his chance to prove himself again.
Wow this is our chance boys. Chelsea are really weakened aren't they ? I mean, it will be an absolute stroll for City
We only have the second team to deal with eh? Terry, Lampard, Bosingwa, Anelka, Drogba and co. Easy
Who wrote this article? lazy stupid journalism strikes again.
Come on you ULLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Com'On Chelsea We Can Win Every Game ths Seasen Like a Bat Out of Hull
what a daft story hardly anything we didn't know already !!!
why Zhirkov ??? :(((
no! but chelsea has lots of choices from the bench. Joe Cole might be out but Essien can play on the right side and right back of course the best BOSINGWA...and the two great strikers...ANELKA & DROGBA..
