Edvald Boasson Hagen won the final stage of the Eneco Tour to secure overall victory in Sittard-Geleen.
Juergen Roelandts led going round the final bend but crashed allowing the Norwegian to sprint clear for an easy win.
The 24-year-old held off Manuel Cardoso and Lars Boom in the final sprint to beat Belgian Philippe Gilbert by 23 seconds in the GC.
Gilbert could have replaced Tour de France champion Cadel Evans as the world number one had he won the race. Brit David Millar took third overall, 29s adrift of Boasson Hagen.
"Everything went perfectly," Boasson Hagen said.
"The team did what it had to to protect my overall lead."
