Championship - Round-up: Baggies win again

West Brom moved temporarily to the top of the Championship table with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Plymouth at the Hawthorns.

Having fallen behind to a clever Jamie Mackie finish, Shelton Martis restored parity in the 34th minute and two Marek Cech strikes sealed all three points for the Baggies

Middlesbrough compounded a bad week for Ipswich Town with a 3-1 victory at the Riverside.

Substitute Jeremie Aliadiere sealing victory with a double after Gary O'Neil had headed the home side ahead. Jonathan Walters got a late consolation from the spot for Ipswich.

Scunthorpe recorded the result of the day with a 4-0 demolition of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Jonathan Forte gave them an early lead before a ten minute second half goal blitz - including strikes from Paul Hayes, Sam Togwell and Michael O'Connor - completed the rout.

A Matty Fryatt double - either side of a Charlie Adam strike - was enough for Leicester to see off Blackpool 2-1 at the Walkers Stadium.

A Nicky Maynard thunderbolt secured Bristol City a 1-1 draw against Coventry after Leon Best had headed the Sky Blues into the lead.

QPR and Peterborough played out another 1-1 draw - Wayne Routledge cancelling out Aaron McLean's opener.

Elsewhere, a Reading side struggling for goals ground out a 0-0 draw against Doncaster Rovers.

Preston comfortably beat Swansea 2-0 thanks to goals from Neil Mellor and Stephen Elliot.

Sheffield Wednesday, having fallen behind to a Dexter Blackstock strike, salvaged a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest thanks to a Marcus Tudgay strike.

New boss Mark Robins resided over another defeat for Barnsley . The Tykes going down 1-0 to a Danny Graham strike at Watford.
