Real Zaragoza's Nigerian striker Ikechukwu Uche tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee in Saturday's La Liga defeat at Sevilla and will have surgery in the next few days.

Uche fell heavily in the Sevilla penalty area and had to be replaced by Ander Herrera just before halftime in the 4-1 loss at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Uche signed a four-year contract with Zaragoza in the summer after having spent the last two years at Getafe.
