La Liga - Xavi praises funny-man Zlatan

Barcelona midfielder Xavi has praised new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, saying the Sweden star is surprisingly fun to work with.

Ibrahimovic (pictured) signed from Internazionale in a deal that saw £35 million and Samuel Eto'o go the other way.

He has since scored twice and Xavi claimed he has also had an impact in the dressing room.

"He is beginning an adventure that will last for five years," Xavi said.

"He has surprised me because he jokes a lot when I thought he would be more serious.

"Everyone said he was awkward but that is not the case. He is very likeable, he has adapted very well."

  1. It's a similar thing with Berbatov at united. The­ player is undoubtedly a great player but may not suit­ the team he is playing for - same thing with ibra. they­ will both score goals this season but i'm not sure­ they will have a "successful" season, where­ they play most games, influence the big games, get the­ fans to like their style of football and win trophies!­ Only if they achieve these can they be considered­ successful.
