Blackwell to keep the faith

Mon, 14 Sep 16:11:21 2009

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell is not expected to make any changes to his starting line-up for his side's match at Coventry.

The Blades secured their second away win of the season at Derby on Saturday and although Blackwell conceded one unnamed player had sustained a slight ankle injury, it is unlikely to affect team selection for the clash at the Ricoh Arena.

Summer signing Ched Evans started on the substitutes' bench on Saturday after returning from midweek international duty with Wales and will be hoping to play a bigger role.

Blackwell has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side approach the second of three matches inside seven days, with the Blades taking on city rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Bramall Lane on Friday night.

  2. Wendy !!.......Thats in the past... Leicester have made a solid start, they look well balanced and ARE a very good side.. other Championship teams are going to find that out !!..tonights game will be a tough test for Leicester , and will give us all a clue to their potential this season.. same could have been said about the game at Ipswich last Saturday..and look what happened there..we outplayed them and were unlucky not to take all 3 points !..Im sure Sheffield Utd will be 'there or thereabouts' at the end of the season...but... so will The Foxes !!

  3. David w you might have took league one by storm but don't think your going to do that in the championship this year, the fowl's thought that when they got promoted but are still a mid table side after fighting relagation for the first couple of season's.
The championship get's harder every year so someone with some commonsence will realise that.Did you know that sheffield united have not finished lower then 10th(in this league) since 2002,??
