Boss demands improvement in approach

Bury manager Alan Knill has urged his side to quickly rediscover their winning mentality ahead of this weekend's trip to Port Vale.

The Shakers have made a dreadful start to the season and four successive home defeats have left them languishing fifth bottom of League Two.

Knill is demanding a vast improvement in his players' approach ahead of the trip to Vale Park and insists results are far more important than performances.

Knill said: "If you want a career you have to win games. It's easy to say well played but it's not about that.

"Until you have that mentality you have to see games out because it's all about winning."
