Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was pleased with the performance of striker Stefan Maierhofer in his side`s defeat at Blackburn.
The 6ft 7.5in forward came on as a second-half substitute at Ewood Park and his presence unsettled the Rovers rearguard.
The Austria international got his name on the scoresheet two minutes from time when he controlled a corner from Matt Jarvis and poked home a consolation goal from the edge of the six-yard box.
McCarthy said: "His size causes problems and a bit of chaos at times. Bearing in mind he's only trained for one hour with us before he played, he did well. He's scored his first goal in 45 minutes.
"He'll be judged on what he does and the goals he scores. He worked hard and put himself about. He came back and he did all the things I'd expect of one of our strikers - and he scored a goal."

Cant wait to see Wolves at full strength in the striker dept, and hopefully put pressure on the oppositions defence. We are making good chances and we must start to finish them. Come on Wolves ! Great first goal for Stefan and we were under pressure, he really looks promising!
