Hartlepool director of sport Chris Turner has been handed an injury boost after Peter Hartley was able to join in training on Monday.

The defender was carried off the pitch during Saturday`s 1-1 draw with Wycombe after falling awkwardly.

It was feared Hartley had suffered an ankle injury, although after the game Turner thought it could have been cramp in his calf.

He told the official website on Monday: "At the time it looked a nasty fall and we were obviously concerned.

"But thankfully Peter hasn't done any serious damage and was able to take part in full training which is great news for us."
