Colchester will check on Ashley Vincent after the winger suffered an injury during the 1-1 draw against Swindon.
Vincent had to be stretchered off with an ankle injury he sustained while scoring the Us` goal at the County Ground.
Boss Adrian Boothroyd has endured an eventful first two games in charge, with defender Pat Baldwin carried off against Southampton last week and midfielder Kem Izzet red-carded at St Mary`s.
"I thought `welcome back to management`! I`ve already had two of my players stretchered off, and another sent off," said Boothroyd.
"Ashley had looked a threat. We put ice on the injury, and he`s had it compressed. We`ll have to wait and see how it reacts.
"But not to worry, because we`re still unbeaten and we will take the point."
