Middlesbrough defender Andrew Taylor is out of the Championship trip to Sheffield Wednesday as he waits to discover how long he will be sidelined by an ankle ligament injury.
Manager Gareth Southgate is resigned to losing the 23-year-old full-back for several weeks after he limped off during Saturday's 3-1 win over Ipswich.
Central defender Chris Riggott is likely to be out for another eight weeks after undergoing a second operation on a knee problem.
However, Tony McMahon is expected to shake off a foot injury picked up at the weekend, while Emanuel Pogatetz (knee) is due to play for the reserves on Wednesday evening and Didier Digard (groin) is also close to a return.

I have just read the team news on the Sky Sports web site for tonights games and it is exactly the same. Someone is copying of the other.
What a job I need one of them......
Digard will make a massive impact in the midfield area, lets hope he can stay fit for more than a couple of games. The league table highlights the gulf between premiership and championship with the three worst teams from last years premier heading this years championship. We must finish in the top two and we need to improve on concentration to do this.
Limped Off????? Which game was the person who wrote this piece watching?? Taylor was carried of on a stretcher obviously in a great deal of pain. Still, never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
