Shrewsbury have received a huge boost with the news Paul Murray has returned to full training after nearly two months on the sidelines.
The midfielder was struggling with an Achilles injury at the start of the season, and it finally forced him onto the sidelines after the 1-0 win at Exeter in late August.
His rehabilitation has since gone well and manager Paul Simpson is delighted to have him back in the frame, telling the club's official website: "Paul is getting there and he's done really well with his rehab over the last couple of weeks.
"He joined in training with the rest of the squad last Friday and started back full training with us as of Monday. We will have to ease him in to make sure there are no setbacks and I don't want to rush it, but the early signs are good."
Simpson also revealed he hopes to have goalkeeper Luke Daniels and striker Dave Hibbert available for Saturday's clash against Bournemouth after they sustained injuries in the defeat to Port Vale.
"They are both doing okay but are also slightly deformed and slightly sore. But I'm expecting they will be okay over the week and available for the game at the weekend," added the Shrews boss.
