Bale would consider Italian switch - agent

A representative of Gareth Bale believes the Wales international would be interested in a move to Italy, but has denied a deal is on the table from AC Milan.

Reports have surfaced suggesting AC Milan are set to swoop for the Tottenham player and team-mate Roman Pavlyuchenko in a swap deal for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Huntelaar has failed to impress since moving to the San Siro in the summer from Real Madrid and the Rossoneri are keen to offload him in January. Reports suggest they are planning on offering Huntelaar to Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp, who was interested in the Holland striker in the summer, in exchange for Bale and Pavlyuchenko.

However, agent Peppino Tirri insists there is nothing concrete at the moment and believes the only reason the 20-year-old is not in the first team at Spurs is because he has yet to regain full fitness.

"It's all nonsense," he told ilsussidiario.net. "The lad has not yet recovered 100% and is not ready yet.

"But despite his young age, Gareth is already ready for a difficult league like the Italian one. Moreover, he would very much like to come to Italy."
