Bristol City manager Gary Johnson admits it is always a worry when his players go off on international duty.
Johnson, who managed Latvia between 1999 and 2001, will pay close attention to Lewin Nyatanga and Alvaro Saborio, who will line-up for Wales and Costa Rica, respectively, on Wednesday.
"It's always a bit of a worry," Johnson told the Bristol Evening Post. "Of course, we are always delighted when our lads are recognised by their countries, because that helps raise the profile of our football club.
"But on the downside, there is always the risk one of them might pick up an injury and not be fit when they return to us.
"It's something we have become used to dealing with since we were promoted to the Championship and all I can do is sit back and wait to see how the lads get on."
Johnson has already been rocked by the news that Christian Ribeiro has suffered a recurrence of a groin injury playing for Wales Under-21s against Bosnia Under-21s last week.
