Watford full-back Mat Sadler is training with Huddersfield with a view to joining the League One club on loan.
Sadler has not made a first-team appearance for the Hornets since December last year and is spending the week on trial at Lee Clark side.
He, along with another trialist, Northern Ireland centre-half Mark McChrystal, is due to play for the reserves against Grimsby on Wednesday.
"We are looking at Mat with a view to a potential loan move," confirmed Clark on the club's official website. "He did very well during his time at Birmingham and was part of the team that won promotion to the Premier League. I don't know why things haven't quite worked out for him at Watford to date.
"It has been a while since he has played first-team football, so this trial gives us the ideal chance to have a look at him."
It will be McChrystal`s second reserve-team game for Town following his release from Derry.
