Peterborough are willing to let Sergio Torres extend his loan spell at Lincoln.
The Argentinian winger has impressed the Sincil Bank faithful during his stay at the League Two club, first under caretaker manager Simon Clark, and currently under new boss Chris Sutton.
The final game of his month-long deal is set to be Saturday`s trip to Northampton but Posh director of football Barry Fry is happy for Torres to remain at Lincoln - provided the terms are right for Peterborough.
"Chris Sutton has spoken to our manager, Darren Ferguson, and I've spoken to Lincoln's vice-chairman Bob Dorrian about extending Sergio's deal," Fry told the Lincolnshire Echo.
"As yet we have not agreed on a financial package. In principal I have agreed to let him stay there until January but any deal would have to be exactly the same as what is in place currently, or he won't be returning to Lincoln.
"Sergio lives in Peterborough and his wife has just started a new job, which is why I think he turned down moves to Hereford, Grimsby, Torquay and Bury as Lincoln is closer."
