The British number one will be joined at the new-look AEGON Championship by reigning Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal and world number six Andy Roddick.
In addition, organisers today confirmed two former world number ones, a former Wimbledon finalist and two other top ten players would take part.
Murray will be challenged by four-time champion and 2002 Wimbledon winner Lleyton Hewitt, two-time Grand Slam champion Marat Safin, David Nalbandian and the current world number eight and ten, Gilles Simon and Gael Monfils.
The big-serving Croatian Marin Cilic will also compete, as will former finalist James Blake, Nikolay Davydenko and Richard Gasquet.
Hewitt reached the rankings summit in 2001 after winning the US Open title, while Safin scaled the peak of tennis a year earlier, shortly after winning his own US Open crown. Nalbandian was a runner-up to Hewitt at Wimbledon in 2002.
"It's a really prestigious tournament," said Hewitt.
"It's a fantastic atmosphere and for me it's even better because I've had so much success there.
"We're fortunate to play on some of the best grass courts in the world at Queen's.
"The year that I won Wimbledon I had beaten Tim Henman in the final at Queen's and it gave me a lot of confidence on grass so I was really confident going in. I was able to take that into Wimbledon."

Meanwhile, Anne Keothavong has confirmed she will warm up for Wimbledon at the AEGON Classic at Edgbaston's Priority Club.
The British number one, who won four titles last year and broke into the world's top 100, will be joined India's Sania Mirza and 2007 Edgbaston finalist Maria Kirilenko
"I've always had great support in Birmingham and it's very exciting to be coming into this year's tournament as one of the contenders for the title," said Keothavong.
Ana Ivanovic and Richard Gasquet have also confirmed they will be playing in the combined ATP/WTA Tour AEGON International, taking place at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park from 13th-20th June.
Ivanovic, who will be playing in Eastbourne for the first time, became the world's top ranked player last June after winning the French Open title.
Currently ranked number seven in the world, the 21 year-old from Serbia has notched eight career titles and is a former Wimbledon semi-finalist.
"I'm looking forward to playing in Eastbourne," said Ivanovic.
"It looks like the perfect place to prepare for Wimbledon, but it's also a chance to win a prestigious title - I know that the tournament has great history."
