Rookie David Perron scored two of the four goals and veteran Keith Tkachuk added a goal and an assist as the Blues erased a 2-0 deficit with four goals in a span of 10:42.

"It's a great measuring stick for us to play against a great team like that," Tkachuk said. "I still think they're the best team in the West.

"For us to beat them and end the skid that we had, and to give us the confidence that we can beat a great team like that, it was huge."

Tkachuk sparked the comeback when he scored during a powerplay with a two-man advantage before Perron added two goals, one on a powerplay, while Jamal Mayers completed the onslaught. The final three goals against Dominik Hasek came from four shots.

Steve Wagner had two assists for the Blues. Pavel Datsyuk and Daniel Cleary scored in the first period for the Red Wings, while Valtteri Filppula added one in the final period. Detroit's Henrik Zetterberg failed to score a point for the first time this season - a run of 17 games.

Marian Hossa forced overtime with a powerplay goal with three seconds left in regulation before Ilya Kovalchuk scored his league-leading 15th goal of the season to give the Atlanta Thrashers a 3-2 victory over the Florida Panthers.

Michael Komisarek scored on a breakaway 35 seconds into overtime with the teams playing 3-on-3 to give the visiting Montreal Canadiens a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kristian Huselius scored with 53 seconds remaining to give the Calgary Flames a 3-2 home victory over the Minnesota Wild.
