Lyon coach Alain Perrin does not envisage too many new arrivals at the Stade Gerland in the forthcoming January transfer window.Les Gones are top of the Ligue 1 table by four points, while they qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League by beating Rangers 3-0 on Wednesday.
Perrin is happy with the squad he has at his disposal, and hinted that he would only be bringing players in to compensate for those who may leave in the window.
"We really want to have an even more competitive team in 2008, but we are not going to buy for buying's sake," said the former Sochaux coach.
"It is, however, necessary that we do not get weaker. We are going to look at the appeals of players who want to leave and compensate for them.
"But the less change the better. Whatever happens, there will be no revolution."
Perrin's biggest problems arguably lie in the centre of defence, with club captain Cris and Switzerland international Patrick Muller both currently out with knee injuries.
Cris may even be struggling to make a return before the knockout stages of the Champions League begin.
"I had him on the telephone recently," added Perrin.
"Things are going well for him, but it seems it will be tricky (for him to return) for the Champions League last-16 games."
