Carlisle boss Greg Abbott was full of praise for his side after they pushed leaders Leicester all the way in the 2-1 defeat at Brunton park.Abbott, who has just been handed an 18-month deal after his second spell as caretaker manager of the Cumbrians, watched as his side held the Foxes for 69 minutes before Bruno Berner's winner earned the visitors their sixth away victory of the season.
"We will be okay if we keep playing like that. Leicester are a tough side and Nigel Pearson will probably say we took them right to the wire. We made them play to the maximum to get the points," said Abbott.
"We have played prettier sides but they have a terrific front pair who are always a threat. I felt we dealt with them quite well in the first half but they caused us problems in the second period.
"We never let our heads go down so I have got to take heart and I don't think people could argue that we weren't value for a draw. Leicester had to dig to get the result."
