Gillingham manager Mark Stimson believes performances like his side showed in the 2-2 draw at Barnet will help them win promotion this season.Simeon Jackson scored his 10th goal of the season to earn the Gills a point after goals from Michael Leary and John O'Flynn either side of Andy Barcham's effort looked to have won it for the Bees.
Stimson said: "I think we deserved it at the end. We should have been two or three up at half-time. The boys were fantastic and if we play like that until the end of the season we have a great chance to go up.
"At the end after being behind twice we at least deserved a point. There are no easy games in this division at this stage of the season, Barnet are fighting for their lives and we had to match them.
"We started well and had to put them under pressure, and even though we went behind twice we didn't panic.
"The supporters were absolutely outstanding, and our away form is a lot better than it has been, we just need to maintain it."
