Kaka has distanced himself from a £91 million move from Milan to Manchester City, saying he wants "to grow old" with the Serie A club.
Despite talks between the two teams over a world-record deal, the Brazilian said he wanted to become captain of Milan, and said he had rejected the chance to leave the San Siro.
Kaka said: "My objective is to become, in the future, captain of this team. I know that there are people older than me and first there are (Paolo) Maldini and (Massimo) Ambrosini, but after that...
"I have already turned down significant offers."
City executives travelled to Italy on Tuesday to meet with their Milan counterparts, and the Brazilian playmaker's agent said a move to Eastlands before the end of January is "not impossible".
City chairman Garry Cook, two representatives of owner Sheikh Mansour and Kia Joorabchian, who is acting as a mediator, met with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and club advisor Ernesto Bronzetti.
Milan attempted to play down the meeting's significance, saying: "Galliani received a delegation from Manchester City yesterday in Milan as a gesture of courtesy like always in these cases.
"There are no talks at the moment."
However, Kaka's agent Diogo Kotscho confirmed City's interest and said the 26-year-old would like to play in the Premier League.
However, he also warned that City's reported contract offer of £13.5m per season would not be enough to persuade him to move.
"To accept Manchester City, Kaka wouldn't consider only the money, but the competitiveness of the English side," Kotscho said.
"Ricky (Kaka) would like a strong side. He would never do something like Robinho, who, just to earn more, contented himself without a winning solution."
The talismanic Brazilian has been linked with a switch to City ever since the Abu Dhabi United Group took control and immediately made bold claims regarding transfer policy - including the boast they would pay £135m for Cristiano Ronaldo.
City's sensational £32m capture of Robinho under the nose of Chelsea proved Mark Hughes's side have the spending power to entice world class talent, but club president Silvio Berlusconi said he thought Kaka was not for sale.
"I know nothing about a Manchester City offer for Kaka," said Berlusconi. "I think he's not transferable and given that is the case, he will stay at Milan."
In November Kaka admitted he was flattered by City's reported interest, but said it would be difficult to leave Milan.
Kaka has scored 86 goals in 244 games since moving to the San Siro in 2003. City fans may have fond memories of his demolition of Manchester United in the 2006-07 Champions League semi-final.

Want proof?Ask West Ham.
Kia Joorabchian is a gold-digging git.
man, Arabs are helping Palestine. Do you think they would have resisted Israel all these long years? Some of the Arabs however have other interests in their agendas and this Shikh thinks he feels more alive is he buys a PL. He can dream about it.
arab waste of money..why dont they help palestinian ..
Shel, it's not only the media that want manshitty to fail! We all do! Because they are now a pathetic and embarrassing club! You can't buy history! Even IF kaka does go to ManShitty it won't change a thing! One or 2 players don't make a team! They seem to think they can buy themselves out of relegation and it doesn't work like that! They need to get a few decent players and build a decent team before they start buying big names!
"people have to work for 6 pound an hour and at the end of the week cant afford a high class @#$% and footballers can turn down 250 grand a week. makes me puke" - davylad3rd
Thats because Kaka doesnt only play for money like some players, Kaka loves the game and he loves being in Milan . He has a contract till 2012 and i think he will stay in Milan.I thinkg he will be in milan forever just like Maldini did. One day Kaka to Captain Milan. FORZA KAKA FORZA MILAN !! Go Away Man City because your a club with no history!!
I am a big fan of AC MILAN since i was 10. that was around 18 years ago. still, they are the only club i love the most. MU, Chelsea and others are for the person who love the football. Not the art of the game or the true passion of football. Whoever comes, whoever goes, it doesn't really matters. The memory of the champ league game with MU is unforgettable. Don't ruin your life, Kaka!!
Somebody calling the team I support manure should know the meaning of things, names, tags, and rags.
Calling kaka names just cos he's in another world where only eagles dare is fatally wrong...
Robinho is just pathetic, if goes for free shopping offers and ques for discount...
Every rag team, gang clout and seriously sick fans shouldn run their dirty taps towards manutd....because the best team deserves some respect, and that team is Manchester United.
why would any serious footballer leave ilan to go to Man City i just dnt get those arab @#$%
Ruud, Henry ,Gerrard and change come on sparky vfm
Don't quiet think he is worth 1/2 a million a week.
Thats just stupid!
can barely afford a ticket for a game.
Its going to FEEL SO GOOD next week when Man City gets the last laugh! Read the Time and Daily Mail...they have already started to "back away" from their "rejection" stories LOL! Man City and Milan will meet again next Monday and Kaka's father is flying to Manchester tomorrow to meet with Gary Cooke. Its a shame how badly the media want Man City to fail.
