Kaka has distanced himself from a £91 million move from Milan to Manchester City, saying he wants "to grow old" with the Serie A club.
Despite talks between the two teams over a world-record deal, the Brazilian said he wanted to become captain of Milan, and said he had rejected the chance to leave the San Siro.
Kaka said: "My objective is to become, in the future, captain of this team. I know that there are people older than me and first there are (Paolo) Maldini and (Massimo) Ambrosini, but after that...
"I have already turned down significant offers."
City executives travelled to Italy on Tuesday to meet with their Milan counterparts, and the Brazilian playmaker's agent said a move to Eastlands before the end of January is "not impossible".
City chairman Garry Cook, two representatives of owner Sheikh Mansour and Kia Joorabchian, who is acting as a mediator, met with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and club advisor Ernesto Bronzetti.
Milan attempted to play down the meeting's significance, saying: "Galliani received a delegation from Manchester City yesterday in Milan as a gesture of courtesy like always in these cases.
"There are no talks at the moment."
However, Kaka's agent Diogo Kotscho confirmed City's interest and said the 26-year-old would like to play in the Premier League.
However, he also warned that City's reported contract offer of £13.5m per season would not be enough to persuade him to move.
"To accept Manchester City, Kaka wouldn't consider only the money, but the competitiveness of the English side," Kotscho said.
"Ricky (Kaka) would like a strong side. He would never do something like Robinho, who, just to earn more, contented himself without a winning solution."
The talismanic Brazilian has been linked with a switch to City ever since the Abu Dhabi United Group took control and immediately made bold claims regarding transfer policy - including the boast they would pay £135m for Cristiano Ronaldo.
City's sensational £32m capture of Robinho under the nose of Chelsea proved Mark Hughes's side have the spending power to entice world class talent, but club president Silvio Berlusconi said he thought Kaka was not for sale.
"I know nothing about a Manchester City offer for Kaka," said Berlusconi. "I think he's not transferable and given that is the case, he will stay at Milan."
In November Kaka admitted he was flattered by City's reported interest, but said it would be difficult to leave Milan.
Kaka has scored 86 goals in 244 games since moving to the San Siro in 2003. City fans may have fond memories of his demolition of Manchester United in the 2006-07 Champions League semi-final.

Personally I think kaka should go to manure what a stink they would create together................
No football player is worth that money. I agree with the people who say agents are ruining football. The bigger the transfer, the more money they get. They unsettle the big names and turn there heads to the big money. Bring back the good old days when Players played for the love of the game and entertainment of fans!!
It's f**** crazy it will end the game no f**** is worth that
Personally I think the whole think stinks just a little of kaka..........
man city need 2 build 4 da future, get some young ones in that aint peaked already
KaKa to Ciddee??... Bit like the Champion Jockey riding donkeys on Blackpool beach..

Nuff Said.. :)
City should go for Alberto Aquilani.
What a ridiculous bid. If Kaka is valued at that much I'm a monkey's uncle. City are going to ruin the transfer market if this goes through. Poor club, always has been. This proves it.
Kaka's move to Manchester City would never work out in any case. The owners of the club are desperate to keep Manchester City in the Premiership and shall go to any lengths to do that but in the end it's the player on the field who shall win the day and not money. Success has to be earned and with money alone it's not the best tactic in the long term. Look at the position of Manchester City in the table and it says the lot. The whole idea would be a blow for English soccer players as on the whole.
lee must of being an adviser to robinho on his contract at city..how else would he know that there is a get out clause
ben.amin i am with u the needs to see that foot ballers are being over payed when the actual people who help the world like doctors, nurses, firemen, teachers, mabye coppers i dont know they dont do much i had my bike stolen and they sed they could not do any thing because i didnt see who did it but any way fotballers should be payed the avrage salary and doctors, nurses, firemen and teachers should be the ones who get payed like footballers
We need a public uprising in the world - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
PLEASE WAKE UP!! all protest should be peaceful but im sure some will turn violent
Emma T........Ronaldo pays £62,000 PER WEEK income tax and NI. More than the average person does in 10 years!!! Don't blame the footballers, blame the agents and club executives who make up the ridiculous figures. If your boss offered you a double your money contract would you say no ?
sure Kaka will b Milans Captain in future.. same as David Villa n d others big name superstar..
Hey Arab n ManShitty! go help ur dying cousins in gaza first!!
i see the credit crunch hasnt affected football wages
they play for 90 minutes a week kicking a ball and people who have demanding jobs i.e nurses and fire fighters are fighting to get py raises what a joke cut football wages and use the money for the towns and local heroes that derserve it
Milan are just humoring City, he will never leave. He refused a pay rise on religous beliefs 18 months ago, so money won't prise him away you idiots, he is an Italian national now and married to a milanese girl and very happy in Italy personaly. Another point is that Real Madrid wouldn't sell any player to Chelsea at all, nobody else wanted Robhino, he is lazy and a dressing room breaker. He has a clause to leave City if they don't finish in the top half of the table, so he will be at Chelsea in the summer.
cool guy......
does he still hook up with those ta ll beauties on the ta ll da ting site ____T a l lM i n g l e Co m____ ???The last time I saw his profile is last monday, hope he does not leave.
