Tottenham goalkeeper Radek Cerny has admitted that his place in the starting line-up for the Carling Cup final could be under threat. The Czech stopper has been given a run in the side after boss Juande Ramos dropped Paul Robinson for his constant errors and the 33-year old has impressed.
However, with Spurs comfortably 2-0 up away at Prague on Thursday night the on-loan keeper dropped a cross right at the feet of striker David Strihavka who easily finished - and Cerny now fears that he mistake could hand Robinson his first-team sport back.
"Yes, I am worried, I don't know what to say," said Cerny. "We won the game and we will see what happens in the next game. I will work hard in training over the next week like I always do. I am so dissapointed. It was a high cross and I thought everything was fine. I didn't see the striker coming so close to me. I just dropped the ball and then I realised that he was too close.
"I feel very bad, especially as it is my home town. We still won the game but we are not happy about the result because we could have scored three, four, five goals.
"I feel disappointed. I know every player makes a mistake sometimes, but I have made mine in my home town against my old club."
