No fresh problems for Darlo trip

Fri 15 Feb, 04:30 PM

Mansfield manager Billy Dearden has no new injury or suspension problems to contend with for the trip to promotion-chasing Darlington.Captain Jake Buxton and midfielder Lee Bell were slight doubts for the home defeat to Morecambe in midweek, but the pair overcame their respective knee and foot problems and played without suffering any ill-effects.

Simon Brown returned to availability after a one-match ban against the Shrimps but was not involved.

That means defenders Martin McIntosh (calf) and Alex John-Baptiste (back) remain the only absentees.

Dearden was hoping to include Graeme Lee in his squad, but the Doncaster defender has opted to join Hartlepool on loan instead so the Mansfield boss has turned his attentions elsewhere.

"I was told I could have Graeme for a month and I was all set to unveil him, but then Hartlepool came in and he has chosen to go up there," said Dearden. "We will now pursue other targets instead."
