Gorkss misses Portman Road test

Fri 15 Feb, 12:00 PM

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson will again be without Kaspars Gorkss through suspension for Saturday's tricky-looking trip to face Ipswich. The Latvian defender completes a two-game ban after being sent off in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Hull in the Championship.

Gorkss' suspension paved the way for club captain Michael Jackson to reclaim his place in the goalless draw with Wolves on Tuesday and he looks set to continue at Portman Road.

The Seasiders were boosted by the return of midfielder Keith Southern against Wanderers following a long-term ankle injury.

Southern made his first start in more than two months after being thrown back in at the expense of Michael Flynn.

He lasted 87 minutes before being substituted, and could keep his place in the side.
