Beleaguered Luton manager Mick Harford could have Keith Keane back for the visit of Leyton Orient on Saturday.Midfielder Keane - who has been operating as an emergency defender since the sale of captain Chris Coyne in January - suffered a badly-gashed shin against Bournemouth last Saturday.
The injury would have ruled him out of the midweek trip to Gillingham but after the postponement of the game due to fog, he is back in contention.
Harford said: "Hopefully he will come into contention for the weekend. I think if he is involved on Saturday those stitches will be left in."
Harford's only recognised centre-half Chris Perry should also return after missing the embarrassing 4-1 home defeat to fellow strugglers Bournemouth with a leg injury, but winger Darren Currie is out with a knee problem.
Don Hutchison (leg), Richard Langley (broken leg) and Paul Underwood remain long-term absentees while Paul Peschisolido has also been ruled out for the season with an ankle injury as Harford looks for a first win since taking charge.
