Notts County look set to be without injured duo Stephen Hunt and Gavin Strachan for the trip to Chester City on Saturday.Hunt was replaced at half-time during the midweek home defeat to Darlington after suffering a groin problem, while Strachan had to be substituted five minutes into the second half against the Quakers after sustaining a hamstring injury.
"Their injuries were serious enough to see them come off and we will keep looking at their fitness, but I would certainly say they will miss the weekend," said assistant manager Dave Kevan.
County are likely to be without a goalkeeper on the bench after Tim Sandercombe suffered a stress fracture to his index finger.
The 18-year-old visited a specialist this week and is set to be sidelined for up to three weeks.
Midfielder Neil MacKenzie is edging ever-closer to a return after a hernia operation.
