Southampton striker Stern John has admitted he is excited by the prospect of Saints reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals.The Trinidad & Tobago striker has been playing in England since 1999, but has never played beyond the fourth round until Saturday when he lines up for Saints at Bristol Rovers in their fifth-round tie.
He told the club's official website: "During my time with Birmingham and Forest we kept getting drawn against Premiership sides so this is the furthest I have been.
"I would really like us to make the last eight - and maybe even further. We fancy our chances but we need to win this game.
"Everyone is looking at this game as a possible upset and anything can happen in this competition. A lot of teams have already been turned over in the Cup.
"We have to focus on our own game and get it right. We will show Bristol Rovers a lot of respect but we need to be positive."
