Defender Efe Sodje goes straight into the Bury squad for their clash with Stockport after signing on a month's loan from Gillingham.

The much-travelled Nigerian centre-back has enjoyed previous spells with Macclesfield, Luton, Colchester, Crewe, Huddersfield, Yeovil and Southend.

Sodje, 35, is available to make his debut at Edgeley Park but boss Alan Knill may be reluctant to make changes after his side's midweek draw against Wycombe.

Knill, who has no new injury or suspension concerns, watched his side come back from a two-goal interval deficit to claim a 2-2 draw.

Striker James Dean has left Gigg Lane by mutual consent. Dean, who was on loan at Stalybridge Celtic, has been released to make room for further arrivals.
