Hartlepool manager Neale Cooper has ruled out a move for young Brighton forward George Barker.
The 20-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Seagulls and was also recently linked with a loan switch to Colchester.
Cooper admitted he was interested in Barker but added there is no deal in the offing.
The Scot told the Hartlepool Mail: "He's one of the names we have been interested in, but I'm told that's off now."
