Leicester boss Nigel Pearson was left frustrated by some sloppy defending after his side's 3-2 defeat at Watford.
Despite taking an early lead through Adrian Mariappa's fifth-minute effort, Watford found themselves trailing midway through the first half through two long-range David Nugent strikes.
But Sean Murray ensured parity by the break with his first senior goal from a deflected free-kick before the man who replaced the injured youngster for the second half, Craig Forsyth, struck Watford's winner with 10 minutes remaining.
Pearson said: "We need to be better and more efficient and more consistent - simple as that. The goals that we conceded were poor goals. We didn't start the game well enough, scored two exceptionally good goals and that should be enough to win the game, but we've made some poor decisions and it's cost us dearly.
"We know their style of play, they do it very well, but when we played football in their half we caused them all sorts of problems."
It is now a year since Leicester recorded back-to-back wins, but Pearson added: "I've just told the players that I don't want to hear anybody talking about the season being over. It doesn't enter my mindset as far as I'm concerned."

Why is Pearson on the Hull City page yet again? Sack this reporter or fool who keeps listing this wrongfully on a daily basis and has done for months.
sacl pearson
J.A - couldn't agree more. When SGE was sacked we were about 2 points and 2 places off the play offs. Now look at us. Pearson inherited the best squad in the Championship assembled by one of Europe's best managers. (and Peason's got a long way to go before he can aspire to that label incidentally). The first thing he said on his return was that the squad is unbalanced. Eh??? How come??? SGE built it pretty much from scratch.
No my friends I think we have to look upstairs to find the source of the problems. Yes Mr.Top Hat has spent a fortune supporting SGE and now the clown prince Pearson, but he dismissed one of the best far too early and replaced him with mediocrity. Success doesn't come cheaply and quickly in football. The evidence is for all to see.
Sven should be suing for wrongful dissmissal after what Pearsons got away with
Come on you horns
What a cu-nt
I dont normally react or rise to any comment about my team but will make exception to the rule with regard to the above comments by 'Terry'. You are spot on with your comments my friend. Im getting alittle fed up with seeing the so called articles promising that we can put a run together to challenge for a playoff place. First and foremost we need to string together a couple of victories before we can even contemplate any challenge as inconsistency has never achieved anything. We are approaching that crucial time of the season where teams in or around the playoff's establish a 'pecking' order in their intentions. At the moment we will be hard pushed to get in the 'frame' as their are better teams who are puttig some good results together. With about 16 games left and 9 of them away from home it will be a tall order to break into the top six. But until the fat lady sings on the last game you can never give up hope! Evermore the optomist. Forfoxsake59'.
PLAY George Taft, massive defender, england u 19 , 21. local lad and he's on the books nigel.
Leiceter get one win then players write in the local media saying we're on the move and we'll be promoted. Not being able to win two games back to back is mid table form. thats where they've been all year and that's where they are now\. get real Leicester... You;re not good enough
