Brighton and Hove Albion captain Nicky Forster scored his fourth goal in five games in a 1-0 victory over high-flying Doncaster Rovers.Rovers' hopes of securing a fifth straight win were scuppered by Forster's 57th-minute penalty after he had been felled by Brian Stock.
Forster's spot-kick was initially blocked by veteran goalkeeper Neil Sullivan, but the former Hull and Reading striker rammed home the rebound.
Substitute Gary Hart should have made the game safe five minutes from time but wasted the chance with only Sullivan to beat.
The Seagulls had a let off after nine minutes when midfielder Stock rattled the crossbar with a fierce 25-yard drive.
Former Brighton striker Mark McCammon headed over after a surging run by James Coppinger before Sullivan came to Rovers' rescue by blocking a low volley from Ian Westlake.
