Blackburn boss Mark Hughes knows his team must take advantage of West Ham's current woes if they are to grab a rare Upton Park win on Saturday.Rovers' ambitions of qualifying for Europe suffered a major jolt when lowly Fulham grabbed a late draw at Ewood Park last week, and the Boleyn Ground has hardly been a happy hunting ground for Hughes' men in the recent past.
But with Brett Emerton and David Dunn both back from injury and the pressure mounting on Hammers' boss Alan Curbishley after three straight 4-0 defeats, Hughes is confident his side can pick up a result.
He said: "They're shipping goals at the moment so we'll try to exploit that. We haven't done well there in the past but this is our chance to turn things around."
However, Hughes jumped to the defence of Curbishley, insisting it was "crazy" for his position to be called into question after a season which has seen the Hammers consolidate a mid-table place.
Hughes said: "If you look at the season they had last time and where they are this year, it's been a marked improvement.
"But sometimes the pressure is built by outside forces and people get on bandwagons and things start to run away from you.
"Alan is an experienced manager who has had these episodes before and come through them. The pressure seems to be building but I have no doubt he will be still be in charge next year."
