Everton manager David Moyes is concerned that World Cup qualifiers Down Under are starting to take their toll on Toffees midfielder Tim Cahill. One issue that may disrupt the Toffees' bid for fourth place could be the availability of Cahill, who is a crucial element in the team.
The midfielder missed the visit of Fiorentina with back and hip injuries and is a doubt for the trip to Fulham.
Moyes also faces the prospect of losing one of his major stars in less than a fortnight as Cahill has been named in Australia's preliminary squad for a midweek World Cup qualifier in China on March 26.
The match falls in between league games against West Ham and the Merseyside derby at Anfield and Moyes believes Cahill's long-haul trips are contributing to his fitness problems.
"Tim is injured and he has had a few injuries. I think it takes its toll travelling and I think it is part of the reason for the injuries he is picking up," said the Everton boss.
"You are asking him to travel halfway round the world for games, I don't think it helps - but I can't do anything about it."
