Wrexham did their survival chances the world of good as Michael Proctor snatched a second-half winner in a 2-1 home victory over Bury. The Shakers started strongly at the Racecourse Ground but fell behind after 25 minutes after Sam Aiston's shot was parried by goalkeeper Darren Randolph and Drewe Broughton rammed home the rebound.
Andy Bishop went close on several occasions for the visitors before Broughton rattled the crossbar with a long-range effort.
Glynn Hurst then hauled the sides level as he headed home Brian Barry-Murphy's free-kick.
Bishop had the ball in the back of the net after 70 minutes, only for the linesman to disallow it out for offside.
Seven minutes later, Simon Spender crossed from the right and Proctor made no mistake from close range.
