British record holder Goldie Sayers won the javelin contest at the European Cup Winter Throwing Cup in Split today with a throw that secured Olympic qualification.
Sayers, who set her British record of 65.05metres last year, produced the second biggest throw of her career.
The 25-year-old Belgrave Harrier threw a distance of 63.65m, the second furthest throw of her career.
Sayers, who disappointingly failed to make last summer's World Championships final after a great summer's build-up, will be hoping to maintain her form in the build-up to the Olympics in August.
