Nick Bailey insists Southend should not be daunted by Carlisle's formidable home form as the two promotion rivals prepare to clash on Saturday.John Ward's men have won 17 of their 21 home games in League One this season and are currently seven points above the Shimpers in second.
But Bailey is more concerned about his side's recent good form after forging together a 12-game unbeaten streak.
"They are playing well and are a good team but we're in form and we will be looking to go and win the game there," Bailey told the Southend Echo.
"We haven't been beaten for ages now and even our away form is good now too.
"Earlier on in the season that was a problem for us but it's going well at the moment and of course that can carry on at Carlisle."
