Hibernian manager Mixu Paatelainen has rejected fresh reports linking Scotland striker Steven Fletcher with a move to Real Madrid.Reports over the weekend suggested Hibernian officials had held talks with Real's general manager Predrag Mijatovic to discuss a possible transfer.

Real have been tracking the 21-year-old for some time and are believed to rate the Scotland international highly.

It has been claimed Real could sign Fletcher and then loan him out to a Primera Liga rival for a season.

However, Paatelainen has rubbished talk that Hibs and Real have met to discuss Fletcher's future.

"There has been no contact," Paatelainen told the Daily Record.
