Burnley duo Kyle Lafferty and Stanislav Varga have both been ruled out of the final three games of the Championship season.Northern Ireland striker Lafferty has had his appendix removed in an emergency operation, while Varga now requires surgery on a problematic foot injury.
"Kyle was rushed to hospital on Sunday night with suspected appendicitis, which it was," Burnley boss Owen Coyle confirmed on the club's official website.
"He has had to have it removed and he will be out now for four or five weeks, which means his season is over.
"Stan was injured in the game against Wolves and we subsequently gave him a couple of injections.
"The foot has not responded to those injections, so he will have an operation in the next couple of days, but that is his season over too."
