Midfielder Lee Johnson is a serious injury worry for Bristol City as they head into their top-of-the-table clash with Stoke on Saturday. The 26-year-old sustained a heel injury in the goalless draw to Watford over a month ago and was still struggling to shake off the injury when he lined up for the Robins in the 2-0 defeat to Southampton earlier this month.
Johnson missed the draw with Wolves at the weekend and City manager Gary Johnson admitted he is not holding out much hope of welcoming the midfielder back for the crucial clash against the Potters this weekend.
"It's one of those injuries which could clear up in a few days, or it might take a few weeks," the Robins boss said.
"Lee has been unable to train on it and we can't really do a lot with him until the swelling has gone down. Our medical team are doing all they can, but it's impossible at the moment to say how long it will take."
