The last time Porto met Manchester United - under Jose Mourinho in 2004 - they won 2-1 at home and drew 1-1 at Old Trafford in the last 16 - they went on to win the trophy.

Porto have never lost at home against English opposition in European competition.

No English side has scored more than one goal on Porto's turf.

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 22 Champions League matches, but their win over Inter was their only victory in their last six games in the competition.

Manchester United's last away defeat in the Champions League was two years ago against Milan, 3-0. Since then they have registered six draws and four wins on the road.

Since that defeat the Red Devils have conceded more than one goal just three times, against Dinamo Kiev (4-2), Aalborg (2-2) and Porto (2-2).

Manchester United's record in Portugal reads three wins, two defeats and one draw.

Porto have lost once in their last 14 Champions League home games, 0-1 against Dinamo Kiev.

Porto have kept four clean sheets in their last six Champions League home fixtures.

Cristiano Ronaldo has attempted the most shots in the competition this season, 48. However, he has only scored once.
